Northern Electronics Funeral Fog Periferin

In techno, there are no rules. It is the sound of the future, a soundtrack for tomorrow. Reading up on Varg's history, a man who simply transferred his emotions from black metal into the electronics, he's a living example of how boundless his music and our genre is.

His impressive sound seem to stem from darkness at a first listen, being covered in deep layers of mesmerising rhythms and transcendent melodies, but giving his music a concentrated listen, it shows a person who is an expert in expressing himself through music.

Letting his story get told on Northern Electronics, his dawning LP 'Misantropen' was released in May, reflecting his first steady footed live improvisations. Like tracking a wolf during the cold Swedish winters, Varg's journey has just embarked, surely leaving ripple-like waveforms in all sorts of heads.

Donato Dozzy

Spazio Disponibile Spectrum Spools

"In twenty years of activity as a DJ I still can't realize the real social utility of what I'm doin', but I have seen the therapeutic function..." - Donato Dozzy

Few DJs and producers are as widely and universally acclaimed in techno circles as Italian Donato Dozzy. Never one to pay heed to the zeitgeist, he prefers to deal in hypnotic soundscapes that really take you on a trip. Leaning on acid, ambient and of course techno, he is known for his ability to work his way into peoples' minds at places like Labyrinth Festival, as well as with the music he releases on Aquaplano, Prologue and Further Records.

Spectrum Spools Spazio Disponibile

Italian Giuseppe Tillieci has always paid great attention to the technical aspects of his sound whether crafting in the studio, DJing or playing live around the world. As such his output on labels like Prologue and Silent Season fuses rhythm and texture with techno and ambience in hugely captivating ways. Of course, Neel's main output to date has been alongside long-term professional and personal friend Donato Dozzy as Voices from the Lake, but soon he is to release his first solo EPs and a debut LP called Phobos on the Spectrum Spools label.

Someone able to make music that is as deep and obscure as it is fluid and rhythmic, Neel also performs in three different ways in clubs around the world. Firstly, he is an exceptional DJ able to fuse together the sort of cerebral and cohesive sets that really transport you to another realm. Secondly, he performs a mesmerising AV show with the help of a mysterious visual artist. It recently debuted at Mutek and marries abstract visuals with atmospheric sonics, leaving audiences left adrift in wide open spaces of sound that work the head as much as the heel.

Finally, of course, there are the shows along side Donato as Voices from the Lake, which see the pair explore experimental underwater sounds influenced by nature, African drums, Kosmische and minimalism. Neel, then, is a true modern day techno craftsman who can do surreal and unusual things with sound in truly unique ways.

stochastic resonance

Stochastic Resonance is an independent label that moves within the experimental electronic scene in Rome. SR offers high-quality products and outputs, whose ultimate goal is not only distribution and selling, but is found in the uniqueness of its artistic projects, which move between experimentation and harmony, sliding the sensible impulse into multimedia.
Stochastic Resonance is a network of artists devoted to experimentation with new forms of communication, resulting from the collaboration between different audio-visual-creative, digital and electronic languages , in order to produce a deeper and more perceptive work thanks to the mixture of genres and different sensory contributions.
The label takes its name from the physical phenomenon of the stochastic resonance, where a low-level signal becomes louder and perceptible through the addition of other signals or even noise, the non-signal for excellence.
Taking inspiration from this awesome phenomenon, in SR projects, an idea is developed through a noise cloud coming from different sensitivities, producing a unique style in which beauty and technical are the two halves of a single, deeper thrust of contemporary art.
